Archie Bell and The Drells - Old People

Archie Bell & The Drells / There's Gonna Be A Showdown There is a special song that I have been looking for for a long time. It is titled, OLD PEOPLE. I never knew who sung it. First, I thought that it might had been the OJays. When I tried to find the OJays with that title of the song, there was no such thing. I looked up every group that sounded something like the group that sung it which was Archie Bell & The Drells. Finally I found them on YouTube. I saw the title as I typed Mcfadden and Whitehead. I thought they might have sung it. Archie Bell and The Drells popped right up thanks to every person that uploaded this song.

Barry White and Gloria Gaynor

YouTube
Barry White has another version of his hit song, You're the First, My Last, My Everything. It is the same song but is a duet with Gloria Gaynor. When I first heard it tonight, I loved it. Their voices sound great together.

Maxine Nightingale - Lead Me On (1979)

Wikipedia
I will never forget Maxine Nightingale. I remember her by the hit song, Lead Me On, back in 1979. There were a lot of women and young girls singing this song when I was growing up. I do not remember ever seeing Maxine's face, but I always knew the song when I heard it.

Eagles - I Can't Tell You Why

Wikipedia
Do you remember the song by the Eagles, I Can't Tell You Why? It is a beautiful song. Songs like this one always put me in a certain kind of mood. I Can't Tell You Why is a 1980 song. I love it. It's still new to me.

Janet Jackson - Say You Do

YouTube
It was Solid Gold that I saw Janet Jackson perform her hit single, Say You Do. It was the year of 1983. Before DVDs, there was VCR and VHS tapes. I remember recording Janet from Solid Gold and inviting my friends over to watch her with me. We loved Michael Jackson's baby sister. We thought she had great talent. My mother thought she sung a good song when she sung, Say You Do. Me and my friends enjoyed singing and wanted to be singers like Janet when we were growing up. We tried to get together and write songs like the one Janet sung. We were teenage girls with a dream. However, none of us are singers or what we dreamed of becoming. I miss the days when we sat back and watched Janet Jackson and had our dreams.
