Michael Jackson's Blame It on the Boogie

From YouTube
Michael Jackson sings, "Blame It on the Boogie". Ministers in church preached about the boogie. They had a way of making you feel so bad in those days about dancing. I remember the days when everybody was dancing. Some folks danced at the clubs and some danced at home. I remember when everybody formed a Soul Train line, and I remember Michael Jackson's song about the boogie. This song made a lot of people boogie. The lyrics to the song was very well understood.

"If I Can't Have You" What the Lyrics Mean to Me

Yvonne Elliman
When Yvonne Elliman was singing "If I Can't Have You" in the 70's, looking into my mother's eyes as a child, I didn't think about how I would some day loose her. In 2001, my mother was to suppose to have been dying from breast cancer. I thought about the part that Yvonne sung: Am I strong enough to see it through? I'll go crazy is what I will do. If I can't have you, I don't want nobody...." And I don't want nobody. I thought I would go crazy when my mother died, but I didn't. So far I haven't. I guess I was, and still is thanks to God, strong enough to see it through. When Yvonne sings, "I don't know why I'm surviving every lonely day", I know why. It is God that makes me survive. Though my life has not ended, it seems a part of me is dead. However, I keep on moving on. I keep on living and striving without my mother.

The Meaning of "Off The Wall"

There are millions of people that probably could relate to Michael Jackson’s song, “Off the Wall”. We all want to leave that 9 to 5 upon the shelf. However, it’s not 9 to 5 for many of us anymore. We spend our lives working, going home, paying bills, and buying groceries, but we never really enjoy life. When we get from behind the wall of the work world, we are like kindergarteners. We are bursting with energy to get away from it. Guys and girls turn up the music in their cars racing from the parking lot to go home. Michael Jackson told us in his lyrics, “Let the madness in the music get to you. Life ain’t so bad at all if you live it off the wall.”

Michael Jackson also said that living crazy is the only way. Well, I wouldn’t live crazy high on drugs and alcohol, but living crazy just having fun is the best kind of living and fun. Some get crazy at the night clubs on the dance floor, some get crazy playing card games, and some get crazy at cook outs in family time. What ever the fun may be, we need to do it in a good and right way. We need to live and be happy. It’s okay to act crazy but sane with it.
