Irene Cara's, "What a Feeling", is a song that taught me what singing is all about. Before I could get to the end of the song, my stomach muscles would be so tired. I would stop singing. My mother would say, "Gail, keep singing that song. It's bringing out your true voice."  My mother would make me stand up and sing.

Do you remember Irene Cara's hit song Fame? It was a song in the 80's and was a theme for the TV series Fame. Everybody loved the song and everybody loved the TV series. To me, Irene's song was a masterpiece written by Michael Gore (music) and Dean Pitchford (lyrics) . It's a song that I still love to hear after all of the years that has gone by. It's a great song thanks to the writers and performer.
